Thomas E. “Tom” Pechauer, age 78, of Bradley, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.


Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral Mass. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.


Tom was born October 22, 1946, in Kankakee, the son of Rudolph E. & Mary Daucankas Pechauer.


He married Jacquelyn Jill Milligan on October 15, 1994, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Kankakee. He was a graduate of St. Bedes in Peru, IL. Tom retired from Short Milling after 31 years of service.


Tom was a member of the YMCA. He loved fishing in the Kankakee River and taking trips to Canada. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family gatherings.


Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served 1968-1970 in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.


Surviving are his wife, Jacquelyn Jill Pechauer of Bradley; one step-son, William & Jennifer Kurtz of Wake Forest, NC; two step-daughters, Marjorie & Bryan Donnelly of St. Augustine, FL and Hope Scammell & Robert Frum of Palm City, FL; seven grandchildren, Madison, Blake, Ava, McKenzie, Aubrey, Olivia, and Joseph; and 1 great-grandchild, Brooks. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph & Mary Pechauer; and his step-mother, Felicita Bushman Pechauer.


Arrangements are being made by Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais.


Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
