Mary Kay St. Peter, age 87, of Kankakee passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. 

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Mary was born January 2, 1938 in Kankakee, the daughter of Earl & Lois (Denton) LaMontagne. Mary married Laverne St. Peter on November 24, 1956 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2016.

Mary was a secretary for Personal Finance Company. She enjoyed traveling and going to church. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving are three sons, David (Diana) St. Peter of Englewood, FL, Tom (Carol) St. Peter of Bourbonnais, and Steve (Diana) St. Peter of Momence; two daughters, Kathy (Andy) Palmateer of Kankakee and Lori (Bruce) Groskreutz of Tampa, FL; one sister Miki (Ed) Schmal of Denver, CO; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Laverne St. Peter, Mary is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joyce Piatt.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
