Kathryn “Kathy” A. Lenzi, 83, of Kankakee, formerly of Mokena, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025.


Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Joseph Church in Bradley, starting at 10:00 am until the funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery, Bourbonnais, immediately following.


Kathy was born May 13, 1941, in Chicago, the daughter of Norbert and Corinne (Kottman) White. On August 4, 1962, she married Robert E. Lenzi in Chicago. She was a devoted Catholic who loved her family and husband dearly. She was a homemaker and took pride in making her house a home. Kathy loved to bake and cook, being known for her apple slices and having a homecooked meal on the table 7 days a week. She also loved to read and do word searches. In her later years, she developed a love for painting and coloring while in independent living. Most of all she loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.


Kathy is survived by her five daughters, Annette (Jeff) Pegram of Bourbonnais, Arlene Dickey of Mayer, AZ, Paulette (Bob) Galen of Knox, IN, Yvonne Lenzi-Borem of Lewisburg, KY, and Rita (Mike) Stoll of Bourbonnais; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, William (Mary) White of Nebraska and Margaret (Ronald) Carrozza of Michigan; sister-in-law, Linda (Ed) Chlipala of Dayton, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; father, Norbert White; mother and stepfather, Corrine and Harry Mueller.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.


The family would like to give a special thank you to Prairieview Lutheran Home and Uplifted Care for the great care given to Kathy.
