Orvan L. St. Aubin, age 89 of Bradley, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, Huntley, IL. He peacefully passed surrounded by family.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the noon funeral service on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Homes, Bourbonnais. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate the service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Manteno.
Orvan was born July 15, 1935, in Kankakee, the son of Victor and Delia (Dandurand) St. Aubin. Orvan married Roberta Gress on November 28, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, IL. She preceded him in death on September 11, 2003.
Orvan was a union truck driver for Roadway for twenty-seven years. He loved seeing America from the cab of his trucks, meeting new people along the way. Orvan enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and spending time doing outdoor activities. He was a big fan of the Fightin’ Illini. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Orvan was very involved and gave his time to many charities and organizations. He was a member of the Bradley Seniors. Orvan was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Bradley Holy Family 7072. He was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Bradley and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bradley and the Holy Name Society at the church.
Surviving is one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie (Thomas) Leineberg of Cary, IL; three grandchildren, Megan Leineberg, Matthew (Allison) Leineberg, Monica Leineberg; and several nieces and nephews.
Orvan is preceded in death by his wife of nearly forty years, Roberta; his parents; one daughter, Michele St. Aubin; and siblings, Donald St. Aubin, Della Yonke, Armond St. Aubin, and Doreen St. Aubin.
