Lylette M. Coy-Lamie, age 75, of Bourbonnais, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024 at her home.


Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held 9:00-10:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.


Lylette was born August 28, 1948 in Kankakee, the daughter of Lyle & Jeanette Smith Statler. She married Dennis Lamie on May 14, 1994 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee.


Lylette was the retired vice president of collections for Commonwealth Credit Union. She was a graduate of Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School and also attended Kankakee Community College. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.


Lylette enjoyed going on cruises. She liked the beach, Christmastime, and going to casinos. Most of all, she loved being with her family. 


Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Dennis Lamie of Bourbonnais; three sons, Louis & Juli Coy of Bourbonnais, Michael & Amber Coy of Homewood and Brett Lamie of Milwaukee, WI; seven grandchildren, Lauren (Bryan) Benoit, Lindsay Coy, Bella Lamie, Elise Lamie, Soleil Lamie, Jeremy (Makayla) Bays, and Jori Studor; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Loretta & Louis Rouse of Limestone; one brother-in-law, Rick Eilts of Wilmington; two brothers, Daniel Statler (Marlene Warpet) of Bradley and Gary & Judy LaFine of Minnesota; and one sister-in-law, Linda LaFine of Bradley.


Lylette is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Coy; one grandson, Louis Coy III; one brother, James “Jimmy” LaFine; and one sister, Bonnie Eilts.


Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
