Irene L. Savoie, 94, of St. Anne, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Miller Health Care in Kankakee.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024, at St. Joseph Church in Bradley starting at 9am until the funeral Mass at 10am. Cremation rites have been accorded. Jensen Funeral Home in Kankakee is handling the arrangements.


Irene was born on Nov. 6, 1929, the daughter of Arthur and Louise (DuBois) Boudreau in Manteno, Illinois. She married Alfred Savoie on July 29, 1950, at St. Theresa’s Church. 


Irene worked as a cashier for many years at a local grocery store. She was a Woman of the Moose, a Bradley Lions member, and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Bradley.


Irene is survived by her 2 sons, Steve (Holly) Savoie, David (Jeanna) Savoie; 2 daughters, Marilyn (Marc) Spenard, Chris (John) Reddington; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alred Savoie; brother, Louis Boudreau; 3 sisters, Mildred Blanchette, Gertrude Draben, Annabel Boudreau.
