Edmund M. Pudlo, age 91, of Bourbonnais, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee.

Edmund was born June 20, 1927, in Chicago, the son of Louis & Apolonia Kroll Pudlo. He married Regina Samborski on April 11, 1953 at St. Fidelis Catholic Church in Chicago.

He was a graduate of DePaul University, having earned a BS in Chemistry. Edmund retired from Valspar, where he was a senior chemist for the industrial coating division and the head of the R&D for the Midwest. He has several patents in his name.

Edmund was a member of the American Chemical Society. He had a talent for wood finishing and completed many projects around their family’s home. He enjoyed bowling and was avid Bridge player.
Edmund was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He was part of the V2 Rocket Project in White Sands, New Mexico. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving are his wife, Regina Pudlo of Bourbonnais, IL; three sons, Robert John Pudlo of Aurora, IL, Richard George & Denise Pudlo of Fenton, MO, and Raymond Thomas Pudlo of Loves Park, IL; and five grandchildren, Austin Pudlo, Danielle Pudlo, Brian Pudlo, Evan Pudlo, and Eric Pudlo. He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Roxanne Marie Pudlo; and one granddaughter, Jenna Marie Pudlo.
