Veronica A. Lehnig, 87, of Bradley passed away April 15, 2017 at Miller Healthcare Center. She was born September 12, 1929 in Bradley to Albert and Veronica (Wieliczko) Pechauer Sr. Veronica married Amos Lehnig, May 21, 1949 and he died October 3, 1978.
There will be a visitation Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Schreffler Funeral Home, Kankakee Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Anthony Nugent officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Gardens Cemetery.
Veronica was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Veronica was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Veronica is survived by her 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Deborah (David) Harpin of Kankakee, Vanessa Hall of Lampasas, TX and Susan (Michael) Morton of Bradley. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Jeff Williams, Cory Hall, Tonya Blair, Stephanie Horner, Chrystal and Tabitha Bleyle, Jeremy Lehnig and Calvin Morton, several great grandchildren and a brother Delmar Pechauer of Antioch, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 children; Denise Bleyle and James Lehnig, a brother; Albert Pechauer Jr., and a grandson; Jeremy J.J. Williams.
