Paul A. Lovell

Paul A. Lovell, 82, of Bradley, passed away Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Presence Heritage Village in Kankakee.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Inurnment will be in Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Chebanse.

Paul was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Cabery, the son of Alvin and Irene Cassidy Lovell. He married Betty Hamende on Nov. 14, 1959, at St. Rose Catholic Church in Kankakee. Paul retired from A.O. Smith. He had also worked at Sears.

Paul served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad and a member of St. Joseph Church. He enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, carving birds and was a member of the Woodcarvers Association.

Surviving are his wife, of Bradley; one daughter, Susan and Jerome Giacchino, of St. Anne; and two grandchildren, Anne Marie (Max) Diaz and Maria Christine Giacchino.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, John.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Vitas Hospice.
