Carl E. Coy of Bourbonnais, passed away on Thursday October 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Cremation rites have been accorded, Memorial visitation will be on Sunday October 23, 2022, from 1-3 at the Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee.

Carl was born on April 2, 1937 at home, on the south side of Kankakee to Mary (Hasel) and Louis H. Coy. He married Janet E. Offerman on June 29, 1957 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Kankakee.

Carl was employed for 34 years at Rainbo/Colonial Baking Co., as a route salesman retiring in 1992. He was a member of Teamsters Local 705. In retirement, Carl stayed busy golfing, rehabbing homes, refinishing furniture, and going to garage sales, but most importantly spending time with his family. There was always a get together with the Coy family, and he loved to play euchre, pool and croquet.

Carl is survived by his wife and children, Christopher (Jeannie Tomes) of Golden CO, Steven (Dena) of Kankakee, Linda Coffey of Park Ridge, Andrew (Sherry) of Bradley, Sally (Ron) O'Connor of Limestone and Brett of Lakewood, CO. 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, brother in law David Offerman of CA. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by a daughter Beth Hubert, his parents, brothers Wesley, Norman and Donald.
