Norma J. Jette, age 83, of Bradley passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at Miller Health Care Center in Kankakee. 

Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at Schreffler Funeral Home in Kankakee. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, also on Saturday. Rev. Marcin Michalak will celebrate the Mass. Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass.

Norma was born April 23, 1940, in St. Anne, the daughter of Sherman and Cecile (Cote) Denoyer. She married Duane Jette on April 11, 1959, in St. Anne. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1998.

Norma worked at Riverside Senior Advantage and helped seniors with their finances over the years. She was a lifetime member of Women of the Moose and volunteered at Catholic Charities. Norma enjoyed reading, fishing, and watching the Chicago Bears. She was a people person and enjoyed visiting with everyone. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley.

Surviving are three sons, Dan (Cindy) Jette of Clinton, Dave (Shirley) Jette of Buckingham, and Marty (Julie) Jette of Bradley; one sister, Sylvia Alvey of Kankakee; five grandchildren, Sean, Jason, Alex, Nick (Kristina) and Heather; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Duane Jette, Norma is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Russell Denoyer and Gayle Denoyer.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
